The third eye chakra, known as Ajna in Sanskrit, is the sixth of the seven main chakras in the human body. Located in the centre of the forehead, just above the space between the eyebrows, it is associated with intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness. This chakra is believed to govern our ability to perceive beyond ordinary sight, encouraging clarity of thought and a deeper understanding of the world around us.

When balanced, the third eye chakra is said to enhance imagination, wisdom, and the ability to make clear decisions. Signs of imbalance may include confusion, lack of focus, or difficulty trusting one's inner voice. Practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and visualisation are often used to activate and harmonise this chakra, supporting a greater sense of inner knowing and enlightenment.

To cleanse the crystal, light and then extinguish the ‘Nag Champa’ incense stick and then waft the smoke over the crystal.  I recommend doing this before using the crystal, weekly if you use it often, and anytime someone else handles it.   Whilst cleansing, use a positive intention, such as ‘I ask that all negative energies be removed from my beautiful crystal and that by using it, I am invoking positive and joyous energy’.
